Some Fabs fans--including yours truly, who's still saving his pennies--were disappointed to see that Amazon is now listing the Beatles in Mono remasters set, due out 9/9/09 along with the Beatles in Stereo remasters set, as sold out. Turns out, that's not the case.
According to the Beatles Examiner, Amazon will try to get more copies of the mono set to offer. In fact, if you go to the Amazon link for the mono set, you'll see a button you can click so you'll be e-mailed when more of the mono sets are in stock.
And, as the Examiner points out, the mono set is also still available for pre-order from Collector's Choice, Best Buy, Live Nation, Amazon.co.uk (England) and Amazon.ca (Canada).
Also, statements that the mono set is limited to 10,000 copies are untrue. Capitol/EMI plans to do only one production run of the set. However, their not saying if there's a limit on how many copies will be produced in that run. Seems like, if they're selling pre-orders for the sets, it only makes sense to make enough copies to fill them, right?
